Seed Pot, Seeds, Historic Scroll

40.00

One ceramic vessel to hold seeds forever. They are made of hand-dug, New Mexican, micaceous clay, thrown on a wheel, and wood fired in a pit on cottonwood bark topped with Aspen shavings. Finally, filled with organically grown seeds, and a hand-written scroll with the variety name and history of growers before you. The seeds were organically grown by our founder/farmer or a farmer he knows. Stored at room temperature, the seed can maintain viability anywhere from 3 years to several hundred years, as we find in many caves and tombs across the world. Every clay pot is completely unique. The varieties of seed change, as do the color and sizes of Pots available. Currently, we are offering an Anasazi Corn and pots of about 2-3in. diameter and height. Every month we offer a new style and seed.
